Teacher Removed Over Alleged Assault on Female Students in Bandipora

Bandipora, Oct 22: A Physical Education Teacher (PET) at Higher Secondary School (HSS) Ajas, in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, has been removed from his position following allegations of physically assaulting female students.

The action was taken after a formal complaint, supported by CCTV footage, was lodged with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bandipora. The District Youth Services & Sports Officer acted swiftly, detaching the teacher from his duties and directing him to report to the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports for further investigation.

“This decision ensures a safe environment for students and facilitates a thorough investigation,” the official order stated.

Sources indicate the teacher allegedly used a belt to punish the students for arriving late on October 18. Parents, after reviewing the footage, have demanded strict action against the teacher.
