Heatwave Alert for Kashmir Valley

Srinagar The Kashmir Valley is set to experience a heatwave over the next seven days. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert, indicating that dry and hot weather will dominate the region.

While no major rainfall is expected during this period, there might be short spells of rain in some areas within the next 24 hours, though they are not anticipated to be significant. From August 8th to 13th, the forecast suggests mostly hot and dry conditions across most areas. However, brief rain or thunderstorms could occur in some regions, particularly around the 10th and 11th of August.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses.
