Ganderbal, August 4 – Several villages in the Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district have been severely affected by a series of cloud bursts, causing widespread damage to roads, houses, and crops.

Locals reported that the cloud bursts occurred in the villages of Kawcharwan, Cherwa, and Padabal, triggering mudslides that have blocked the Srinagar National Highway, a crucial route for the region.

Sources have confirmed significant damage to several houses and vehicles in the affected areas. Additionally, the Power Canal has been blocked due to the heavy debris brought down by the cloud bursts.

Rescue operations are currently underway as teams work to clear the blocked roads and assist those affected. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation, and more details are expected to emerge as the rescue efforts progress.
