Army Personnel Injured in Terrorist Attack in Rajouri

 

JAMMU  — An Army personnel was injured when terrorists opened fire on a security post in the village of Galuthi in the Manjakote area of Rajouri district early Sunday, according to official sources from the Press Trust of Kashmir.

 

The attack occurred around 4 am, targeting a sentry post of the Territorial Army. Troops immediately retaliated, leading to an intense exchange of fire that lasted nearly half an hour. Despite the efforts of the soldiers, the terrorists managed to escape into a nearby forest.

 

In the aftermath of the incident, a massive search operation was launched to track down the terrorists. Security forces are combing the area extensively to locate the assailants and ensure the safety of the region.
