Udhampur witnessed an early surge of voters, including newlyweds and first-time voters, braving inclement weather to cast their ballots as the first phase of the Lok Sabha election commenced.
Accompanied by jubilant friends, Kapil Gupta, freshly adorned in wedding attire, marked his vote soon after his marriage, underscoring the importance of exercising one’s franchise. Meanwhile, Sahil and Radhika, another newly married couple, made a symbolic appearance in wedding costumes at a polling station, highlighting the significance of participating in the electoral process.

Amidst the civic fervor, Meenakshi, the first voter at the ‘pink’ polling station, commended the meticulous arrangements, while Mool Raj received accolades for his prompt participation.
