Moon Sighting Testimonies Gathered Nationwide: Pakistan Moon Sighting Committee
Srinagar, April 9 — The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Pakistan’s central moon sighting authority, convened today in Islamabad to collate eyewitness testimonies on crescent sightings, crucial in determining the date of Eid ul Fitr.
Simultaneously, zonal committees convened in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta to observe the Shawwal crescent, with meetings underway in the provincial capitals.
The zonal and central bodies are actively gathering moon sighting testimonies from diverse regions within the provinces.
Despite awaiting reports from Karachi and Lahore, the respective zonal committees affirmed their commitment to await the final decision from the central committee regarding moon sighting.
