3.0 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Ladakh

LEH : A seismic event rattled the serene landscapes of Ladakh today as an earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale struck the region. The tremor, reported by the National Center for Seismology (NCS), occurred at 11:48 am local time, sending mild tremors across the area.

 

The NCS confirmed to News Agency Press Trust of Kashmir, the earthquake’s magnitude and provided details of its epicenter, pinpointing it to Ladakh, India, with coordinates at Lat: 33.34 and Long: 76.84, at a depth of 5 kilometers.

 

While no immediate reports of casualties or damage have surfaced, residents and authorities are urged to remain vigilant in the aftermath of the quake. The event serves as a reminder of the region’s susceptibility to seismic activity and highlights the importance of preparedness measures.
