Second Knife Attack Strikes Kashmir, Prompting Concerns

 

Just hours after the initial knife attack, another chilling incident has rattled central Kashmir’s Srinagar district. According to sources, a youth named Shafat Ahmad, hailing from Mundir Bagh area, fell victim to a similar assault by unidentified assailants wielding knives.

 

The attack left Shafat Ahmad injured, prompting swift action as he was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. The news, reported by the Press Trust of Kashmir, has raised alarms across the region, with authorities scrambling to ascertain the details surrounding this disturbing incident.

 

This latest assault comes on the heels of Thursday evening’s harrowing attack on Muneer Ahmad Dar, further amplifying concerns about the safety and security of residents. Muneer Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Qadir Dar, was viciously stabbed near Baber line, inflicting severe injuries that necessitated immediate hospitalization at GMC Baramulla.

 

As police officers diligently work to verify the facts surrounding these attacks, the community remains on edge, grappling with the unsettling reality of these acts of violence.
