Kashmiri’s must rise, expose elements behind target killings: Altaf Bukhari

Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, President of the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, has strongly condemned the recent terrorist strike on non-locals in Kashmir, urging the local community to rise up and expose those responsible for such heinous acts.

In a statement following the tragic incident, Bukhari expressed deep sorrow and shame, emphasizing the need for collective action to combat such violence. “My head goes down in shame when such incidents take place in Jammu and Kashmir,” he remarked, highlighting the gravity of the situation.

Acknowledging the failure of the administration in curbing target killings, Bukhari called for swift and decisive measures to bring the perpetrators to justice. He urged Kashmiris to unite in exposing the elements behind such terror incidents, emphasizing the importance of community solidarity in the face of adversity.

Addressing queries about the inclusivity of the Apni Party, Bukhari reaffirmed its open-door policy, welcoming all who believe in the integrity of Jammu and Kashmir as an integral part of India. “Our doors are open for everyone who believes J&K is a strong part of India and believes in the Constitution of the country,” he stated.

Bukhari emphasized that past affiliations or ideologies are irrelevant, extending a warm welcome to individuals from all backgrounds into the party fold. “Whether they had association with some other political group or ideology in the past, be it Hurriyat or Jama’at-e-Islami, I consider them citizens of Jammu & Kashmir, and I welcome all into the party fold,” he affirmed.

In the face of adversity, Bukhari’s call for unity and inclusivity echoes a message of resilience and determination as Kashmir strives for peace and stability.
