Moon not sighted in J&K, Eid ul Fitr to be celebrated on Saturday

SRINAGAR (PTK):- J&K will celeberate Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the culmination of the fasting month of Ramzan, on Saturday as the moon was not sighted on Thursday evening, officails said.

An official said that Ruet Hilal Committee announced that crescent moon not sighted in J&K and Eid ul-Fitr to be celebrated on April 22 (Saturday).

He said that no witness about moon sighting was reported anywhere in J&K

“Therefore, Friday will be the last day of Ramzan and Eid will be celebrated on Saturday,” he said.(PTK)
