3 arrested as narcotics seized in Poonch

Srinagar February, 26 (PTK) Security forces on Sunday recovered a huge quantity of narcotics and has arrested three smugglers in Pooch district.

An official said that an operation was launched jointly by Army and police in Poonch and three narcotics peddlders have been intercepted.

He said search three kilograms of heroine like substance worth crores has been recovered so far in Noorkote village on LoC in Poonch sector.

The arrested persons were identified as Jhangir son of Sadiq Sheikh, Mushtaq Ahmad son of Raj Mohammad and Mohammad Aslam son of Haji Bulaha, all residents of Vill Degwar Noorkote Poonch.

Officials said that search operation is still going on in the area and further investigation has been taken up. (PTK)
