250 KVA transformer installed in Khanan area of Kangan

Many new transformers to be installed in Kangan area

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR NOV 29:- Authorities on Tuesday installed a 250 KVA transformer in Khanan area of Kangan and this step was highly appreciated by locals.

Locals thanked government especially DDC and Sarpanch of the area for fulfilling the demand of the locals.

Ghulam Rasool Magray a local resident said that area was suffering and this was a demand of the locals since last several years which has been fulfilled this year.

Sarpanch Khanan Haleema Begum said that people of this halqa were suffering since last 34 years and in bringing this transformer, there is hand of DDC Kangan B Mian Amjid.

From my PRI fund, I have given funds to bring more transformers in the area, he said.

Mian Amjid said that not only in Khanan but in many areas of kangan B were facing issues and locals were demanding installation of transformers and very less work was carried out in the area in last 10 years.

Last year, we tried our level best and with our PRI funds around 12 transformers were installed in the area and this year we have installed more than 15 transformers in Kangan B, he said.

In Khanan area we have installed around four transformers in the area and in coming time we are hopeful that there will be less demand of transformers now, he said.

Many transformers are coming in the area in coming besides that poles and wire infrastructure is also being enhanced in the area, he said.
