Assam Rifles evacuates female trekker from Trunkhal Ganderbal

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR GANDERBAL SEP 24:- Assam rifles on Saturday claimed to have evacuated a female trekker from Mumbai in Trunkhal area of Ganderbal.
An official said that on a distress call in the middle of the night by a group of trekkers at 12000 ft, near Trunkhal in Ganderbal District.
He said that the nearby Assam Rifles post responded swiftly by rushing a team to the spot and providing medical assistance to the ailing trekker Miss Riya, age 28 years, residence of Mumbai, who had breathing issues.

SPO2 of the lady was running low at 35. She was immediately given oxygen support and resuscitated, he added.
She was subsequently evacuated with care through treacherous terrain and inclement weather to Narang, Wangat, he said.
