Five Day Workshop on ‘Preparation of Visual Teaching Aids’ held at IASE, Srinagar
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR, JULY 30: The Department of Art, IASE Srinagar organized a five day workshop on the theme of ‘Preparation of Visual Teaching Aids’ here today, in the Fine Arts Lab of the college.
Initiative for the event was taken by the college Principal, Prof. Dr. Seema Naz who inaugurated the programme and also delivered a welcome address.
Students from 1st Semester B.Ed and 2nd Semester IG B.Ed/M.Ed participated in the event.
Dr Seema emphasized that this is the golden opportunity for the freshers to learn preparation of teaching aids from waste and low cost material. She highlighted the importance of the workshop and encouraged all the participants.
40 In-service and pre-service students took part in the event for all the days and worked with great interest and passion and produced 27 teaching aids on different concepts of education such as scientific, historical, mathematical and geographical.

This was the first attempt of students who got familiar with methodology and visual teaching considered an essential component of teacher training. They also got educated by making the models that this type of supplement can easily make our teaching and learning more pertinent and interesting.
All the prepared teaching aids will be displayed in exhibition and all the participants will be honored with the certificates from the college.
