Six dead in Ramban accident so far

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR Ramban July 25:-Six persons have succumbed so far who were injured in Ramban road accident on Sunday.

An official said that four succumbed on Sunday while as two more succumbed on Monday taking death toll to 06.

Those who succumbed on Monday were identified as Naza Begum (45), wife of Mohammad Iqbal Sohil of Neel Tehsil Ramsoo and Naseema Begum wife of Muzafar Ahmad of Wagan.

Accident took place on a link road in Higni-Badarkoot belt when a Scorpio, which was on its way to Shagan from Ramsoo plunged into a gorge, resulting in spot death to two person and injuries to six others and among them four more succumbed.

The official said that two more women who were injured in the accident are undergoing treatment at GMC Anantnag and their condition is stable.

Investigation in this regard has been already taken up, he added.
