One-day Training Programme on COTPA-2003 held at Shopian

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SHOPIAN, JULY 23: A one-day training programme on implementation of COTPA-2003 under National Tobacco Control Programme was held today under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Manzoor Hussain at mini secretariat, here.

The training programme started with a PowerPoint presentation on overview of NTCP and health hazards of tobacco use by Dr. Mohammad Yousuf, Block Medical Officer Shopian.

A detailed presentation on COTPA-2003 epidemiology of tobacco burden and role and responsibility of different stakeholders was presented by Dr. Syma Sidiq, Divisional Co-coordinator Kashmir, Tobacco Control DHSK.

After the presentations, detailed discussion and deliberations were held on the different aspects of the Act.
