Body of tourist guide drowned in Tarsar retrieved, efforts on to locate second body:- Officials

Srinagar June 23 (PTK) Body of local tourist guide who drowned to death in Tarsar on Wednesday has been found at Lidderwath Pahalgam, officials said on Thursday.

An official said that body of Shakeel Ahmad, a tourist guide who is resident of Gagangeer Ganderbal, who drowned while saving the Tourists has been recovered at Lidderwath while as operation on to locate second body.

Notably , mishap happened at Tarsar lake at Sikwas Pahlgam when a group of 13 tourists including three local guides were on way to see sight on Wednesday.

Officials said that when tourists along with guides were walking near by this lake, a tourist guide along a tourist identified as Dr Mahesh of Uttarakhand drowned due to the flow into the water while rest got stuck there. (PTK)
