NYCs stage protest in Srinagar, demand justice

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:- National Youth Corps (NYC) Association today held a protest demonstration in Srinagar demanding immediate regularization of their services.

Scores of youth of NYC assembled at Srinagar and staged a sit-in protest for not redressing demands of 8000 NYC youth who were engaged on merit basis in 2010.

The protesting youth were raising slogans in favour and their demands and said that they will continue their protests till their demands will be met.

This is not the first time we have come on roads for our demands but even before the year 2014, when the BJP was in opposition, its leaders supported our demands, however, due to unknown reasons they are talking about it when they are in power.

We have been recruited on basis of merit and authorities must look into it at an earliest so that families of thousands of youth may get a sigh of relief.

BJP Government which gave us SRO 520 in the year 2017,” they added and requested the LG Administration for regularizing their jobs, enhancement of wages and extending them benefit of health insurance policies.:-PTK.
