GDC Budhal Organized Valedictory Function of 7-Days NSS Special Winter Camp

Press Trust of Kashmir | Budhal:- NSS Unit of Government Degree College Budhal organized valedictory function of Special Winter Camp which was held from 07/03/2022 to 13/03/2022 under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Mohd Mazammal Hussain, Principal of the College and Prof. Ajaz Ahmed, NSS Programme Officer.
Col. Adarash Singh Parhirar, Commanding Officer 60 RR Naga was the chief guest on the function and Major Lejo Jose was the guest of honour.. The programme was started with recitation of Saraswati Vandana followed by Tilawat-i-Quran by NSS volunteers.
In his welcome address, Dr. Mohd Mazammal Hussain welcomed the chief guest and guest of honour. He talked about the role of NSS in community services, personality development, confidence building and their contribution towards societal development. He also appreciated the efforts and work performed by the NSS volunteers during 7-day winter camp. He stressed upon the volunteers to follow the motto of the NSS “Not Me But You”.
Prof. Preeti Sharma Presented the key note address. Prof. Ajaz Ahmed presented the brief report of the camp and highlighted the NSS activities which were performed during the whole week.
Afterwards, cultural items were presented by NSS volunteers through Phari and Punjabi dance performances. Col. Adarash Singh Parhirar in his address spoke about the role played by the NSS volunteers in the development of society. The programme concluded with prize distribution ceremony. The others present on the occasion were Prof. Mohd Farooq, Prof. Amerjeet Singh, Prof. Daya Ram, Prof. Adnan Ali shah Dr.Gowhar sahpoo Dr javaid Ahmad miss saima Shabnam miss mohsina Mr . muzffar mr ilyas other teaching and non-teaching staff, students, NSS Volunteers and NCC Cadets. The whole programme was anchored by Ulfat Farooq and Shafia, senior NSS Volunteers.Vote of thanks was given by HoD English, Dr. Adnan Ali Shah:-PTK.
