Police books 10 PDP Leaders For violating Covid-19 SOP’s On Mufti Syed’s Death Anniversary
Srinagar, 08 Jan (PTK): The authorities on Saturday booked 10 workers of Peoples Democratic Party, who organized a rally at the graveyard of PDP patron mufti Mohammad syeed on his sixth death anniversary.
According to reports recieved by Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) 10 leaders and workers of people’s democratic party have been booked after concerned Tehsildar had written to the concerned SHO to book these leaders for violating Covid-19 SOPs and organising a rally at Bijbehara.
As per the communique issued by concerned Tehsildar, of which a copy lies with Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) reads that at least 10 persons from Peoples Democratic Party organized a large gathering in Bijbehara in complete violation of SOP’s and Covid appropriate behavior which may result in spreading of Covid-19 and other related epidemic.
The authorities said that 10 PDP leaders have been booked for violating Covid-19 SOPs on the death anniversary of mufti Mohammad syed.
Police have been directed to book the organizers of rally including Abdul Rehman Veeri, Sartaj Madni, Najmu Saqib, Javaid Ahmad Sheikh, Majid Ahmad Khan, Abdul Majeed Rangraiz, Showkat Ahmad Teeli, Mufti Sarwar, Arshid Ahmad Ganie and Nazir Ahmad Vaid.
Notably, People’s Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti accompanied by scores of workers had organised a prayer meet at the graveyard of former chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed at Zirpora Bijbehara to pay tributes to the party leader on his 6th death anniversary. (PTK)
