Press Trust of Kashmir : Ramban :At about 1700 hrs, Police station Ramban received a message that a makeshift motorcycle-rickshaw met with an accident at Kowbagh which was driven by driver Rampaul r/o Punjab, carrying 8 children in the trailer. When the police party reached the spot, 01 child was found dead while rest of the injured were shifted.

The details of persons injured/dead in the accident are as follows:

1.Rampal s/o Ramswaroop r/o vill Baladah distt Mansa PB. A/P Kowbagh Ramban (injured/driver of MC Rickshaw)

2.Bhirbhan age 6 yrs S/O Rampal (dead)

3.Suraj bhan age 12 yrs s/o Rampal (injured)

4. Chameli age 7 yrs d/o Rampal (injured)

5. Gulshan age 6 yrs d/o Salman r/o Zila basti UP A/P Kowbagh Ramban (injured and referred to GMC Jammu)

6. Zameerun age 3 yrs d/o Salman (injured and referred to GMC Jammu)

7.Chandni age 9 yrs d/o Mohd Israr r/o Kowbagh Ramban.(injured and referred to GMC Jammu)

8. Salma age 12 yrs d/o Mohd Israr (injured and referred to GMC Jammu)

9.Sabana age 14 yrs d/o Mohd Israr (injured and referred to GMC jammu)

05 children have been referred to GMC Jammu who are.in a critical condition. The driver was driving the vehicle in a rash and negligent manner losing control due to overspeeding. SSP Ramban and DC Ramban along with other district officials visited the spot and police has taken cognizance in this regard.(PTK).
