Kashmir Valley set to recieve rain, snow from October 23

Srinagar, 22 Oct (PTK): The Metrological department has predicted widespread rains and light snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir valley from late Friday night.

According to press trust of Kashmir (PTK) officials of Srinagar Metrological center said that the weather forecast suggested that kashmir valley would recieve widespread rains and light snow from late evening to three days.

The forecast suggests that there is possibility of light rain, snow likely in higher reaches of valley from late evening/night today,adds that there will be widespread moderate rain in the plains of valley and snow over higher reaches on 23rd.

Some places on higher reaches especially over Pirpanjal, hilly areas of South Kashmir may receive heavy snowfall, adding that light to moderate rain is expected at many places on 24th oct.

The kashmir weather department further said that if there is going to be any snowfall in plains, it will be on 23rd and detailed forecast will be shared friday evening.

Meanwhile the people/farmers living in Shopian, Kulgam, Gund and adjoining areas (Gund Ganderbal) and Bandipora(living at slightly higher elevation than main town) are advised to speed up their work and complete it by tomorrow morning strictly.

The Weather system is already affecting J&K, however, good rain showers may start in evening or night. (PTK).
