Vaccination drive for Journalists held in Ganderbal, Several journalists were vaccinated today besides that journalists thanked the government for the drive.

Press trust of Kashmir | Ganderbal :As part of a vaccination drive launched by the Government, a vaccination drive was organized a vaccination camp for media persons at boys higher secondary school Ganderbal.

The media persons working for international, national and vernacular press organizations got the first dose of the vaccine during the drive.
Those inoculated with the anti-covid-19 vaccine included reporters, photojournalists, sub-editors, editors and many journalists working with both print and electronic media outlets.

An official said that media persons have been categorized as a priority group for vaccination by the Government and the nature of their duties is such that they come in public contact during reporting, that is why this high-risk group is being vaccinated on priority,”.

The information department has urged all journalists working with print, electronic media to come forward for vaccination as it is important for their safety and their families as they have to perform their professional duties everywhere and require protection from the risk of contracting the infection.(PTK)

Press trust of Kashmir | JAMMU : Financial Commissioner, Health & Medical Education, Atal Dulloo, today interacted with Senior Residents (SR) and Post Graduates (PGs) of Government Medical College regarding issues faced by them during COVID times.
The SRs and PGs apprised the FC of various issues like district residency program, working of interns, security in wards, electricity, and health insurance for all healthcare workers among other issues.
Regarding security issue, FC said that security has already been strengthened but it will further be upgraded if the need arises. He urged upon the participants to enroll themselves for Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) SEHAT scheme to get free of cost insurance cover for meeting their health care needs.
FC lauded the efforts of doctors, nurses and paramedics for working tirelessly in these tough times of global pandemic and assured mitigation of their problems as soon as possible.
Principal GMC, Dr. Shashi Sudhan Sharma, assured that the exams of 30 years old PGs will be conducted as soon as possible while other issues raised by the participants would also be taken care of.
The interactive session was attended by Ashwini Khajuria, Administrator GMC and Dr. A.D.S Manhas, Medical Superintendent GMC.
