Sumo drivers charging exhorbant fare in Tral, allege passengers

Pulwama September 11 (PTK) Sumo drivers of Tral Sub District are charging exhorbant fare from the passengers, alleged local residents

As per the COVID 19 guidelines issued by the Govt they have to fill only 50% seats as that of existing capacity and have to charge double the farr, but in gross violation of the Govt order the sumo drivers fill the all seats and not only this they over crowd the seats than the normal capacity and charge the double of the fare.

According to PTK, Few days before ARTO Pulwama checked the violation at sub District Tral for a day but later on the sumo drivers started to charge as per their will by not obliging the Govt order, they said

Residents of Tral and it’s adjacent areas have demanded that strict action should be taken against the arrogant behaviour of the sumo drivers of Sub District Tral.

Citizens Council Tral requests the DC Pulwama, ADC Tral , SSP Awantipora and ARTO Pulwama to look into the matter and take strict action against the arrogant behaviour of sumo drivers with the common people.H

We hope the authorities will act swiftly without delay as common masses are suffering and being looted, they added.(PTK)
