ACB raids Residential premises of forest officer, incriminating documents recovered.
Srinagar August 10 (PTK) Anti corruption Bureau has registered a case against State Forest Corporation block manager for possession of assets disproportionate to his income
An official said that ACB raided his multiple premises in Srinagar as well as in Jammu and found his assets disproportionate to his income.
He identified the block manager as Parvaiz Bakshi resident of Sopore who is at presently living at Shams abad Bemina.
He added that FIR no 03 of 2020 in Police station ACB has been registered against him and further investigation has been taken up.
ACB in a statement said that Consequent upon the registration of case FIR No. 03/2020 u/s 13(1) (b) r/w 13 (2) of Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 against Parvaiz Bakshi S/o Abdul Majid Bakshi R/o Sopore A/P Shams Abad Bemina Srinagar (Block Manager in J&K State Forest Corporation ) for possession of Assets disproportionate to his income, today his residential premises at Srinagar & Jammu were raided by the teams of Anti Corruption Bureau Baramulla in pursuance to the warrants obtained from Hon’ble Court of Special Judge Anti Corruption Baramulla.
During search various incriminating documents were recovered leading to several properties & bank accounts of the accused, statement adds
The statement further adds that the accused Forest officer was found in possession of various Assets during search which include:-
One 3 storey house at Shams Abad Bemina, One double storey house at Gousia Colony Bemina, One double storey house at Sunjwan Jammu, 01 Kanal of land at Shams Abad Bemina, another plot of 15 marla at Shams Abad Bemina, 01 kanal of land at Gousia Colony Bemina, 09 kanals of land at Diver Pattan, 04 shops at Hamdania Colony Bemina, 02 shops at Gousia Colony Bemina, 01 Scorpoio Car, 01 Honda City Car, 01 Maruti 800 car, 01 Motor Cycle and 01 scooty.
The life style of the accused officer was also found quite lavish and incommensurate with his status as a public servant and income thereof. One of his two sons was found studying in United Kingdom and other in Delhi Public School Srinagar.
The investigation of the case is going on, the statement added.(PTK)
