SIE decides to conduct online assessment of students to check effectiveness of initiatives taken by government

SRINAGAR JUNE(PTK) State Institute of education has decided to conduct an online assessment of students to test the effectiveness of the initiatives taken by government taken by the government for the welfare of students.

“Covid-19 has created not just a health emergency but has affected all spheres of life. One of the worst hit has been the education sector Classes have been suspended and exams at different levels postponed, reads the order issued by SIE, adding that the Department of School Education, acknowledging the fact that the students are the most precious asset of any nation and their Education needs not to be compromised at any cost has undertaken the task of Education continuity and opted for vanous remote learning options including delivering education through online teaching, digital access to e-learning materials available at websites of Directorate Of School Education Kashmir and State Institute of Education Kashmir, video classes, distribution of assignments-cum-tutorials, teaching through radio and television

Order further adds that all these efforts aim at ensuring that learning is not disrupted and to militate against the negative effects that are associated with prolonged periods of school closure. The teachers have shown great dedication during this whole process and their role is laudable.

It further adds that in order to assess the initiatives taken by the Department and to improve the teaching-learning process during these hard days when schools are closed the Department has decided to conduct an ONLINE assessment to test the effectiveness of these initiatives

In the first instance the class 8 students shall take part in the said process as per the following time schedule from their home. All Chief Education Officer / Principal DIETS shall ensure the maximum participation of the students

2 UDISE Code, Name of the Complex Head, Educational Zone

Gmail User-ID and Password (For login, if prompted).
