MHA writes to states/UTs to take measures to fight Fake news about Covid-19

SRINAGAR 02 APRIL 20(PTK) Asking states and union territories to take measures to fight fake news in order to prevent panic among people and spread of covid -19, MHA writes to states and union Territories

MHA in order said that strict action should be taken against those spreading fake news on social media.

In an advisory issued by the ministry, it said that it was “imperative” that all measures are taken by the state and Union territories to ensure the safety of citizens.

The advisory comes in the backdrop of fake news reported from different parts of the country about covid-19(PTK)
