Bandipora police took pregnant woman to hospital amid lockdown

Pethkoot (Bandipora),Mar 29: The police on late Sunday facilitated transport for a pregnant lady of Bandipora and ferried her to Bandipora district hospital amid lockdown in view of the deadly Coronavirus spread.

According to reports, Station House Officer Pethkoot received a distress call asking for transport facility to shift a pregnant lady to the hospital.

An official said that as there was lockdown in the area as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the virus, the family was not able to arrange any vehicle for the pregnant lady.

He said that a team was rushed to village to facilitate transport for the pregnant lady.

“The team picked up the lady from her home in the police vehicle and shifted her to Bandipora hospital with proper care for further treatment,” he said.(PTK)
