Amid tension gunfight broke out in Shopian village

Shopian, August 02 (PTK) : Amid tension in Valley gunfight between militants and government forces has Pandushan village and it’s adjacent areas in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Reports reaching PTK said that a joint team Army’s 34RR, SOG and CRPF launched cordon and search operation in Pandushan area.

A police official told PTK that as soon as forces intensified search operation towards suspected spot, hiding militants fired upon forces which was retialated triggering an encounter

As per the sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
