Congress issues show-cause notice against its Corporators, Chief Whip

SRINAGAR, (PTK): After some SMC Corporators who had contested and won on Congress ticket defected from the party and joined People’s Conference, Congress party’s Chief Whip Mr. Shafat Gafar has issued a show- cause notice.

As per this show-cause the defected Corporators have been given 48 hours to explain why party should not disqualify these Corporators. The notice has also been copied to Chief Electoral Officer J&K.

The Corporators who defected are Ajaz Rasool, Sobie Jan, Shaheena, Gulshan Bilal, Syeda Hamid, Zahoor Hussain, Nazia Yousuf, Sara Bilal and Haseena.

Chief Whip JKPCC Shafat Gafar said, the party will proceed for disqualification if anyone fails to respond to this show-cause notice.
