ARTO Bandipora Conducts Anti-Drug Awareness Drive Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

Bandipora, June 3 (PTK): As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), the office of the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Bandipora conducted an awareness drive at Auto Stand Gulshan Chowk on Wednesday to educate the public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a drug-free society.

The awareness programme witnessed participation from drivers, commuters and members of the general public, who were sensitized about the importance of adopting a healthy and substance-free lifestyle.

During the drive, officials highlighted the serious social, economic and health consequences associated with drug addiction and urged participants to play an active role in preventing substance abuse within their communities.

The ARTO team emphasized that public awareness and community participation are essential for the success of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and called upon transport operators and citizens to support the campaign wholeheartedly.

A pledge ceremony was also held on the occasion, during which participants vowed to stay away from drugs and contribute towards the creation of a drug-free and healthy society.

As part of the campaign, anti-drug awareness stickers carrying messages against substance abuse were pasted on passenger autos operating in the area to further spread awareness among commuters and the general public.

Officials said the initiative was aimed at taking the anti-drug message to every section of society and strengthening the ongoing efforts to eradicate the menace of drug abuse from the region.(PTK)
