Police Demolishes Property of NDPS Accused in Kulgam During Anti-Drug Crackdown
Kulgam, May 14 (PTK): Jammu and Kashmir Police in coordination with the district administration on Wednesday demolished three illegally under-construction shops belonging to an NDPS accused in Kulgam as part of its intensified anti-drug campaign.
Officials said the demolished structures belonged to Jahangeer Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Ismail Bhat, a resident of Chinigam Frisal falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Yaripora.
Police said the action was carried out after completion of all legal formalities and that the property was linked to the accused involved in narcotics-related offences.
The authorities stated that the move forms part of the ongoing crackdown against drug peddlers and networks supporting narcotics trafficking in the region.
Police reiterated that strict action will continue against individuals involved in drug trafficking with the aim of protecting society, particularly youth, from the harmful effects of substance abuse.
The public has also been urged to share information related to drug peddling and substance abuse to assist law enforcement agencies in taking timely legal action against offenders.(PTK)
