Honey Extraction Programme Conducted at DCTC Chimna Chak

Jammu, May 09 (PTK): A two-day honey extraction programme was conducted at DCTC Chimna Chak, Bishnah in Jammu under the guidance of Director Agriculture Jammu Anil Gupta and supervision of the committee constituted for assessment of honey crop yield.

The extraction process was carried out in the presence of Assistant Entomologist Harvinder Singh, Programme Officer Vivek Mahajan and the team associated with the apiculture development scheme.

Officials monitored honey extraction activities and assessed the honey yield obtained from bee colonies maintained at the centre. The exercise aimed at evaluating productivity and ensuring scientific management of apiculture practices.

Speaking on the occasion, Harvinder Singh highlighted the importance of scientific beekeeping methods for increasing honey production and improving the livelihood opportunities of beekeepers.

The officers appreciated the efforts of the field staff and stressed the need for maintaining quality standards during honey extraction and processing activities.(PTK)
