Series of activities held across Ramban on Day 2

RAMBAN, JANUARY 20(PTK): Continuing the Phase-II celebrations of the 150th Anniversary of India’s National Song “Vande Mataram”, the District Administration Ramban, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, today organized a series of events across the district with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour.

A variety of programmes and activities were held at multiple locations to promote the spirit of nationalism among the people. The celebrations witnessed active participation from government departments, educational institutions and members of the general public.

As part of the day’s activities, a special health outreach programme was organized at CHC Batote to extend essential healthcare services to the public. The programme included screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), eye and dental check-ups, gynaecological services, enrolment under PMJAY-VVS, generation of ABHA IDs, along with free diagnostic facilities and distribution of medicines. The initiative received an encouraging response, with large public participation availing the services.

To mark the occasion, mass singing of the National Song “Vande Mataram” was organized at various locations across the district, including the Sub-Division Headquarters Gool, Tehsil Offices at Batote, Banihal and Rajgarh, PMGSY Office Ramban, District Industries Centre (DIC) Ramban and PWD Division Banihal. The collective rendition of the national song infused the atmosphere with patriotic zeal and unity.

Meanwhile, Government Polytechnic College Ramban organized an online quiz competition on the theme of “Vande Mataram”. Around 60 students participated in the competition aimed to promote patriotic values and enhance awareness about the historical and cultural significance of the national song among youth.

The district-wide celebrations on the second day reflected a deep sense of unity, patriotism and respect for the nation’s rich cultural and historical heritage, reinforcing the collective commitment to national pride and harmony.(PTK)
