Residents of Shakergund village of Sopore stages protest against PHE

SRINAGAR, OCT 01 (PTK): Residents of Shakergund village of Sopore on Monday a blocked Sopore Kupwara road as they protested against PHE department for not providing them regular portable water supply.

Scores of people including women blocked Kupwara -Sopore road at Shankergund to protest against water scarcity in the area. “There is a proper water scheme in place still we are denied water supply,” residents said.

The protesters raised slogans against the PHE Department for ignoring their ‘sufferings’ in the absence of proper water supply in the area. (PTK)
