BJP Questions PDP’s Stance on Mehraj Malik’s Alleged Insults Mufti Sayeed | Manzoor Bhat

Jammu / Srinagar, 14 Sep 14 (PTK):   The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K today launched a strong critique of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) over its support for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Mehraj Malik who used derogatory language against PDP founder and former Chief Minister, the late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
The BJP’s criticism comes in the wake of Mehraj’s recent detention under the Public Safety Act (PSA), which the PDP has condemned as undemocratic. However, the BJP questions the PDP’s silence on Mehraj’s alleged remarks, suggesting a significant contradiction between the party’s purported respect for its founder and its current political stance.
The BJP is pressing the PDP to clarify its position, suggesting a significant contradiction between the party’s purported respect for its founder and its current political stance. said BJP Spokesperson Manzoor Bhat. “PDP’s deafening silence on Mehraj’s abuses against Mufti Sayeed in the J&K Assembly is a shameful betrayal of its founder’s legacy and a stark expose of the party’s hypocrisy.”
The BJP is pressing the PDP to clarify its position and take a stance on the alleged remarks. “What action will the PDP take against Mehraj Malik for his alleged remarks, and how will the party ensure accountability among those who disrespect its leaders?” the BJP asked.
The party also questioned whether the PDP is prioritizing politics over the dignity and respect due to its founder. “By backing Mehraj Malik, is the PDP prioritizing politics over the dignity and respect due to its founder?” the BJP asked.
Finally, the BJP challenged the PDP’s fundamental principles, asking, “How can the PDP reconcile its support for Mehraj Malik, with its own values and principles?” The PDP’s response to these questions will determine its commitment to its founder’s legacy and its own core values.
The BJP ask the PDP to take a clear stance on this matter and uphold the dignity and respect of its founder, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. (PTK)
