Shaheen Exposes Failures of NC, PDP & Congress; JDU Vows Clean, People-Centric Politics in J&K

Srinagar, August 17(PTK): Janata Dal (United) Jammu & Kashmir President, G.M. Shaheen, today launched a strong attack on the National Conference (NC), People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and Congress, holding them responsible for decades of misrule, exploitation, and betrayal of the common people.

Shaheen said that these parties thrived on dynastic politics, corruption, and opportunism, while ordinary Kashmiris were left to struggle with unemployment, poverty, and insecurity. He stressed that their repeated promises of development were nothing but hollow slogans, designed to grab power without delivering on the ground.

“NC, PDP, and Congress treated Jammu & Kashmir as their private fiefdoms. They misled people with false hopes, fueled divisions for vote-bank politics, and abandoned the masses once they secured power. Their politics is the reason why youth remain unemployed, farmers unpaid, and workers ignored,” Shaheen declared.

Shaheen further noted that while these parties played politics over the wounds of the people, JDU has consistently stood for practical solutions: demanding timely release of wages for daily wagers, better financial packages for tourism and agriculture, infrastructure expansion, and long-term peace-building.

“JDU does not believe in politics of manipulation and betrayal. We stand for clean politics, accountable governance, and people-first policies. The people of Jammu & Kashmir must rise above the false narratives of NC, PDP, and Congress, and embrace a new era of responsibility and development,” Shaheen said.

He added that JDU would continue to expose the failures of these parties while putting forth constructive alternatives to ensure that Jammu & Kashmir moves forward with dignity, stability, and prosperity. (PTK)
