NIA Files Chargesheet Against Two Suspects in Kokernag Encounter Case
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken a decisive step in the Kokernag encounter case by filing a chargesheet against two accused individuals.
According to official sources cited by the news agency Press Trust of Kashmir, the chargesheet was presented before the NIA Special Court in Jammu on Saturday. The accused, identified as Mohd Akbar Dar and Ghulam Nabi Dar, both hailing from the Kokernag area of Anantnag in Jammu & Kashmir, have been named in the chargesheet.
They face charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Arms Act, and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UA(P) Act). This development marks a significant stride in the ongoing investigation into the Kokernag encounter, signaling the NIA’s commitment to unraveling the truth and delivering justice in the case.
