73 Central Forces Personnel, lost lives in J&K in 3 years: MHA

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR DEC 21:- Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai Wednesday informed the Rajya Sabha that out of 177 Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) personnel, who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty from 2019 to 2021, 73 lost their lives in Jammu and Kashmir.

“177 CAPFs personnel have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty in the last three years and out of these maximum 73 personnel lost their lives in J&K, followed by 27 in Chhattisgarh.” Minister said in written reply.

Among the 73, he said 49 were from CRPF, one from SSB, who were killed in 2019, 20 including a BSF trooper were killed in 2020 and 3 CRPF personnel were killed in 2021, he said.
