3-year-old boy slips into Sindh rivulet in Kangan, body fished out

 

SRINAGAR  MAY (PTK)In a tragic incident, a three year-old boy slipped into a Nallah at Naranag village of Kangan area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday, prompting the police and locals to start a major rescue operation.

Officials said that a year-old boy identified as Irfan Ahmed Khatana son of Showkat Ahmed Khatana, a resident Pehlinar-Wangath slipped into a Sindh rivulet at Naranag.

After searching for many hours his body was fished from the rivulet near Wangath reservoir by the teams of revenue department, Kangan Police,SDRF Unit Ganderbal and 24 RR.

After legal formalities, body was handed over to family.(PTK)
