26% polling registered in Kupwara till 1 pm

Srinagar: While 26 percent voting was recorded in Kupwara district, the polling percentage remained in single digit in rest of the five districts where voting is going on in first phase of the elections to Urban local bodies in Jammu and Kashmir.

Polling percentage remained in single digit numbers in five other districts including Anantnag (5%), Srinagar (3.5%), Budgam (3%), Baramulla(3%) and Bandipora(2%), according to the official report issued earlier at 11 am.
