10 J-K cops trapped after avalanche hits police post in Kulgam

Senior Superintendent of Police, Kulgam, Harmeet Singh told The Tribune that a massive avalanche hit a police post in which ten policemen got trapped. He said the rescue operation was on to find the missing cops.

Heavy snowfall continued in the Valley since the last 24 hours causing a complete disruption in both air and road traffic. The authorities have issued warnings in avalanche-prone areas and asked residents to remain vigilant.
