Progress of work on Jal Jeevan Mission Schemes reviewed in Rajouri
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR RAJOURI, DECEMBER 06: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress of water supply schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission.
During the meeting, the DDC sought a detailed report from the concerned officers about the progress achieved under Jal Jeevan Mission, who in turn briefed about the same.
Speaking during the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that Jal Jeevan Mission envisions providing safe and adequate drinking water to every household through tap connections in a time-bound manner.
He also emphasized that every effort has to be made to ensure that the goal of tap water to all households was achieved in time.

The DDC also directed the concerned officers to expedite the pace of work to ensure that the projects are completed well in time to provide necessary benefits to the general public.
He also stressed on timely utilisation of the funds sanctioned for developmental works and ensuring regular inspection.
Officers who attended the meeting were Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid; Superintending Engineer Hydraulics, JP Singh; Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Rajouri and Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Nowshera.
