Srinagar, Oct 26: BJP General Secretary for Jammu and Kashmir, Ashok Koul, announced that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) will soon become part of Jammu and Kashmir, further integrating with India. He highlighted the shift from the past disruptions in J&K to the current focus on development and progress in the region.
Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Koul emphasized that a resolution regarding PoK’s integration has been passed in Parliament. “The BJP will pursue this,” he stated, referencing the abrogation of Article 370, which fully integrated Kashmir under the Indian Constitution.
Koul also addressed recent attacks aimed at destabilizing the region, assuring that security forces are actively working to counter such threats. He remarked on former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah’s statement about withholding talks with Pakistan until it ceases supporting terrorism in J&K, saying that Abdullah’s view aligns closely with the BJP’s longstanding stance.
