PM Modi Engages in Bilateral Talks with UAE and Madagascar Leaders at World Government Summit

DUBAI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held significant bilateral meetings on Wednesday on the sidelines of the World Government Summit, engaging with leaders from the UAE and Madagascar.
During his meeting with UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, PM Modi delved into various aspects of bilateral cooperation, emphasizing trade, investment, technology, education, and people-to-people ties. The discussions underscored the commitment to bolster the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the UAE.
In a separate meeting with Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina, Prime Minister Modi reiterated India’s dedication to enhancing the partnership between the two nations. Recognizing the historical ties and mutual cooperation, they explored avenues to advance bilateral relations and highlighted their collaboration in multilateral forums, including the UN.
PM Modi reaffirmed India’s support for Madagascar’s developmental journey and reiterated India’s commitment to Vision SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region), emphasizing the significance of cooperation between developing countries in the Indian Ocean Region.
Addressing the World Government Summit, PM Modi emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to address global challenges and advocated for reforms in global governance institutions.
Following the bilateral discussions and signing of multiple agreements with the UAE, PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the largest Hindu stone temple in Abu Dhabi, reflecting the strong cultural ties between India and the UAE.
Concluding his engagements at the World Government Summit, PM Modi is set to visit Doha to meet with leadership in Qatar as part of his two-day visit to the Gulf region, reinforcing India’s commitment to enhancing regional cooperation and diplomatic relations.
