Everyday Encounters; ambushes rubbish GOI’s claims of normalcy in Kashmir- Ashai
Need of hour is to shun arrogance; engage unconditionally with Kashmiri people.
Press trust of kashmir | Srinagar : Expressing deep concern for rise in encounters; ambushes, widespread bloodshed in Jammu & Kashmir, Senior Awami Itehad Party Leader Sheeban Ashai excoriated present day GOI lead by Modi and Co for absolute lawlessness in Kashmir. Ashai said, “Those who were shouting from rooftops that entire Kashmir would overnight turn peaceful by unconstitutionally doing away with Constitutional guarantees given to the people of Jammu & Kashmir by forefathers of India must be asked why Kashmir has turned into a battlefield today & everyday bloodbath become a norm in Jammu & Kashmir? Ashai urged common masses in Indian not to be hoodwinked by false-claptrap narratives peddled by RSS-BJP of normalcy and development in Kashmir post unconstitutional, undemocratic manouvers of 5th August 2019. Pointing out constant worsening of security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, Ashai added how lack of reconciliatory measures from New Delhi; right wing totalitarianism have absolutely worsened things on ground in Kashmir. Ashai lashed out at BJP over the indefinite-diabolical continued incarceration of Kashmiri leaders and political activists; sought answers from present day Home Minister under which provisions of law are top Kashmiri leaders still languishing in jails across India or held captive in house detentions. Everyday in some encounter common Kashmiris, civilians even security forces are getting butchered & all this cycle of Voilence is allowed to carry on unabashedly. He asked Modi and Amit Shah to come clean why all their false promises of normalcy; development, peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir have proven false? Why is that more than two years post abrogating Articles 370 and 35A, things have only gone from bad to absolute worse in Kashmir.
Commenting on the Zeewan Attack; Ashai demanded that Union Home Minister Amit Shah must immediately step down as Zeewan incident has proven to everyone beyond plausible doubt that current regime is incapable of handling security exigencies and their presence at helm only worsens the ground situation. How is it that despite civilian killings, widespread bloodshed; casualties of armed forces surpassing all previous records yet somehow Government of the day, PMO; Union Home Ministry is not held accountable for worsening security situation at all ?
Ashai held responsible Modi-Shah and their nefarious coterie for widespread doom and gloom in kashmir; added that if democracy has any meaning both Modi and Amit Shah must be made accountable for war crimes in Kashmir. They must be made to answer for their dastardly experiments in Kashmir which have not only caused hundreds of casualties but also resulted in damages worth Lakhs of crores and lead to unemployment of more than five lakh Kashmiris”. :-
