CBSE 10th Exams 2021 cancelled; 12th postponed

 

Delhi April 14 (PTK) CBSE has cancelled the CBSE 10th Board exams 2021 amid a spike in COVID cases across the nations.

The decision on Class 12th exams to be taken on June 1.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to cancel the CBSE 10th exams 2021 amid rising COVID cases across the nation. The decision on CBSE 12th exams 2021 will be taken on June 1. It is likely that Class 12th exams 2021 would not be cancelled but postponed and conducted at a later date after reviewing the situation.

For class 10 students, CBSE 10th result will be prepared on the basis of an “objective criterion” to be developed by the Board.

Any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams.

CBSE 12th exams 2021 that were scheduled between May 4 and June 14 will be conducted at a later date.

The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi met Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal today to discuss on the matter of conduct of CBSE 10th, 12th examinations 2021.

Students, parents and several ministers were demanding the cancellation board exams in the wake of spike in COVID positive cases across the country. Hastag #Cancelboardexams was going viral on social media to demand cancellation.

Many students propagated conduct of CBSE exams 2021 in the online mode. They said that since the studies for the entire year was online, so should be the exams. (PTK)
