Encounter Breaks Out Between Security Forces and Militants in Baramulla

An encounter erupted late Thursday night between militants and security forces in the Chak Tapper Kreeri Pattan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

 

Sources told the Press Trust of Kashmir that the confrontation began when a joint team of police and security forces launched a cordon-and-search operation based on a specific intelligence input. As the forces approached the suspected hideout, militants opened fire, leading to a fierce gunfight.
