Kupwara July 23: Mirwaiz North Kashmir Chairman Muslim Mutahida Mahaaz JK Moulana Parray Hassan Afzal Firdousi has appealed administration to resume Kupwara bound State Roads Transport Corporation bus service from Tarathpora, so that the sufferings of people could be lessened.
According to a statement, Mirwaiz Hassan Firdousi said that the area consists of a huge chunk of population who face several hardships with regard to their travel to Srinagar.
He said that the students, shopkeepers and employees face severe difficulties while reaching Kupwara due to lack of direct transport service. “The people from our area are forced to visit Handwara or Kupwara to board Srinagar vehicle”.
He added, “the authorities started bus service last year but suddenly stopped the service leaving residents in trouble”.
We urge authorities to resume the RTC bus service at the earliest to ease the hardships of people, he said.
We also appeal Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Ayushi Sudan to look into the matter so that this genuine demand of people is redressed at an earliest.
