Massive Crackdown on OGW Network in Doda District

Jammu, July 17: Police on Wednesday announced a major crackdown on the Over Ground Worker (OGW) network in Doda district, leading to the arrest of several individuals involved.
In an official statement, police reported that an FIR (No. 67/2024) was registered on June 12, 2024, under various sections of the IPC, Arms Act, and UAPA at Police Station Gandoh.
According to a police spokesman, investigations led by SDPO Gandoh resulted in the arrests of Mubashir Hussain, Safder Ali, and Sajad Ahmed on June 18 and 20, 2024. These individuals are currently in judicial custody at District Jail Bhaderwah. Following this, another FIR (No. 70/2024) was registered on June 26, 2024, at the same police station, leading to the apprehension of Showket Ali on July 14, 2024. Showket Ali is currently in police custody, with further arrests anticipated as the investigation continues.
The Doda Police emphasized their commitment to dismantling the OGW network in the district, stating that more arrests are likely in the coming days.
